The Citylink price restructure as of 1 April 2017 has not increased the number of toll points, rather it has increased the fee at each toll point. Over the years, Melbourne LCL deliveries have not incurred a toll fee if a toll road is used for delivery.

However, transport companies can no longer bear the cost and have no choice but to implement an LCL toll fee of 5%. They have advised that the decision was not made lightly but they wish their drivers to maintain a good quality vehicle, earn a fair income and provide a professional pleasant service and a toll levy is a major part of ensuring this occurs.
